It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Candido Guerra Calderon, who departed this life on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, in Mesquite, Texas. Born on Wednesday, December 9th, 1942, in Santa Rosa, El Salvador Candido lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to his family and community.
Candido is survived by his beloved wife, Maria, who stood by his side through all of life's journeys. He leaves behind a legacy through his children: sons Jose, Marcos, Osvaldo, Daniel, Ever, and daughters Rubia, Dulia, Flor, Ingracia, Veronica, and Sonia. He is also survived by his cherished sisters Leonides, Dora, and Victoria, as well as 23 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry forward his memory and values.
Candido was preceded in death by his brother Francisco and his son Marcos, who he now joins in eternal rest.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the viewing and visitation, which will be held at San Juan Diego Catholic Church in Dallas, TX, on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025, starting at 4:00 pm - all night. A funeral service to honor and celebrate Candido's life will take place at the same church on Friday, January 24th, 2025, at 10:00 am.
Candido's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and faith. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
