It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carlos Lerma Badillo, who died peacefully in Irving, Texas, on September 11, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on March 13, 1937, in Chiautzingo, Puebla, Mexico, Carlos carried the warmth and vibrancy of his homeland throughout his life.
Carlos was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his beloved wife, María Luisa, with whom he shared a lifelong journey of love and partnership. He is also lovingly remembered by his sons, Carlos and Jehu; his daughters, Ivonne, Zaira, Susana, and Noemí; and his brother, Edmundo, with whom he shared many cherished memories. Carlos leaves behind a rich legacy through his 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, all of whom will carry forward his love, wisdom, and passions.
He was preceded in death by his dear grandson, Axel, whose memory remained close to his heart.
Carlos worked as a dedicated chofer, admired for his reliability and warmth. Outside of work, he was an avid reader, skilled carpenter, and lifelong car enthusiast. He was also a proud supporter of Club América, sharing his passion for soccer with family and friends.
Carlos will be remembered as a gentleman who embodied kindness, humor, and wisdom. His enduring love for life touched everyone around him, and his memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.
His light will continue to shine in the hearts of his family and friends.
