Obituary of Daysi Rosales Rosales
February 26, 1941 – October 3, 2025
With deep sorrow, the family of Daysi Rosales Rosales announces her passing on October 3, 2025, in Rockwall, Texas, at the age of 84.
Born on February 26, 1941, in Santiago de Cuba, Daysi was an exemplary and deeply loved woman of great integrity. She devoted her life to teaching as a mathematics teacher, inspiring generations with her passion for numbers, logic, and knowledge. Her love for intellectual challenges was reflected in her fondness for sudoku, logic games, and her skill with the Rubik’s cube. She was also an enthusiastic Duolingo user.
She loved animals and plants, especially dogs, and was always a helpful and respected neighbor in her hometown neighborhood of Sueño in Santiago de Cuba. Her Christian faith sustained her throughout her life. As a Baptist, she lived with unwavering faith, serving her church with devotion. In her later years, she shared the Word of God daily with family and friends via WhatsApp, being a light and spiritual guide to many.
She was a beloved wife to her husband Carlos, with whom she shared 49 years of a marriage filled with love, unity, and faith. They always walked hand in hand, and we now believe, with hope, that they are together again, hand in hand in heaven.
Daysi was a devoted mother, a beloved aunt and mother-in-law, and a woman of strong principles and firm values.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Carlos; her parents Flora and Lupercio; her siblings Javier, Gladis, Silvia, Sergio, and Oscar; and her special and dear sister Belkis, with whom she shared the beautiful task of raising their children and who accompanied her into old age.
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her children Silvia, Carlos, and Enrique; her grandchildren Adriana, Spencer, William, Enrique, and Alina; her son-in-law and daughters-in-law Román, Midelsis, Solveig, and Ania; her brother-in-law, loved like a brother, Enrique; her special niece, loved like a daughter, Ricci; and many other nieces and nephews across Cuba and the Cuban diaspora.
She will also be missed by the family’s dogs: Chewy, Cujo, Koby, and Gunnar.
Funeral services will be held on October 18, 2025, at 9:00 AM at El Pilar Funeral Home.
Her light, her example, and her love will live on forever in those who loved her.
May she rest in the peace of the Lord.
