Donald is survived by his wife Cathy, sons Donald Earl Petty Jr., Bryan Wayne Petty, and Kevin Lee Petty, brothers Ronald Carl Petty and David, sister Shonnie Kleinhenz, half-brother David Parkhurst and step brother Steve Slaughter, and lastly his grandchildren Donald Earl Petty III , Mattew Wayne Petty, Kimberly Michelle Petty and Khloe Mayleese Petty.
