Erminia Zarate Lopez

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Erminia Zárate López, who entered eternal rest on January 16, 2026, in Garland, Texas, at the age of 84.

Erminia was born on February 16, 1941, in Eden, Texas. She was a woman of strong faith, deep love, and unwavering devotion to her family. Known for her warmth, resilience, and generous heart, Erminia dedicated her life to caring for those she loved, always placing family at the center of everything she did.

She leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her loved ones. Erminia is survived by her daughters, Irene, Anita, and Rachel; her brothers, Joe and Raul; and her sisters, Lisa and Silvia. She was a proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren, a cherished great-grandmother to 15, and a beloved great-great-grandmother to 4, all of whom were a constant source of joy in her life.

She was preceded in death by her precious baby Elestina; her son, Carlos; her daughter, Linda; and her beloved grandchild, Abagail, whom she now reunites with in eternal peace.

Erminia’s love, strength, and gentle spirit will live on through the generations she nurtured. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
