Esther Briones Montoya

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Esther Briones Montoya, who departed this life on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born on Sunday, April 25, 1937, in El Jagüey, Villa Hidalgo, San Luis Potosí, México, Esther lived a life full of love, dedication, and resilience.

Esther was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sons Ernesto Delfino, Jaime, Filiberto, and Martin Adan; her daughters Maria Hilda, Laura Mayra, Eva Maria, Micaela, Maria Reyes, and Erika Nanyeli. She also leaves behind her brother Nau and sisters Elda, Noelia, Estefania, Maria Luisa, Florinda, and Maria Reyes. Esther was a cherished grandmother to 24 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandchildren Ismael and Jaime Jr.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Esther's life at a funeral service to be held at Pilar Funeral Home in Garland, TX, on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 6:00 pm. A viewing and visitation will also take place at the same location on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Following the services in Texas, Esther will be laid to rest at Panteon Municipal de Villa Hidalgo in San Luis Potosí, México, where she will be reunited with her roots and ancestors.

Esther Briones Montoya will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
