With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Evaristo Munguia, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Evaristo was born on Saturday, October 26, 1968, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2026, in Canton, Texas, at the age of 57.
Evaristo was a long-time resident of Garland, Texas, where he built a life rich with love and laughter alongside his family. Known for his warm smile and generous spirit, Evaristo touched many lives during his time with us.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Silvia, who stood by his side through all of life's joys and challenges. Together, they raised three wonderful children: their son, Edwin Eliu, and their daughters, Basti Veronica and Karina. Evaristo's legacy also lives on through his cherished grandchildren, whose laughter brought him immense joy.
Evaristo is also survived by his loving brother, Juan, and sister, Teresa, with whom he shared treasured memories and a deep familial bond.
Family was the cornerstone of Evaristo's life, and he delighted in every moment spent with them. His love and kindness extended to everyone he met, making him a beloved figure in his community.
The family is being assisted by Pilar Funeral Home in making arrangements to honor Evaristo's life and legacy.
Evaristo will be dearly missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace and may his family find comfort in the many beautiful memories they shared.
His final resting place will be Garland Memorial Park in Garland, Texas.
