Gloria De La Paz

Gloria Colunga De La Paz, a devoted wife, beloved mother, and proud grandmother, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, at her home in Royse City, Texas, surrounded by family.

Gloria was born in 1935 in Robstown, Texas, to her parents Inez and Juan Colunga, with whom she is now joyfully reunited with in heaven. She met the love of her life, Reynaldo De La Paz, and the two were married on July 3rd, 1954. Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising five sons and four daughters. She was a dedicated homemaker who found joy in making her house a true home for those she loved.

Gloria was the heart of her family, a woman of deep faith, boundless love, and unwavering strength. She cherished family gatherings, especially during the holidays and making the people around her laugh. Her love was felt in every hug, every kiss, and every prayer she offered for those she loved.

She is preceded in death by her beloved children Reynaldo De La Paz Jr, Jessie De La Paz, Mary Ann De La Paz and Mary Jane Alvarado whom she now joins in eternal rest.

She is survived by her children: Rickey De La Paz (Ebie), Richard De La Paz (Mary), Robert Delapaz, Gloria Ann Espinoza (Marty), and Linda Rose Macalisang (Noel); as well as 29 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry her love forward in their lives.
