It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gustavo Rivera Jr., who left this world on Sunday, April 13th, 2025, at the age of 42. Born on Tuesday, October 26th, 1982, Gustavo was a beloved son, husband, father, and brother, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.

Gustavo was a man of great character and integrity, known for his unwavering dedication to his family and his infectious smile that could light up any room. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Mayra, and a proud father to his cherished children, Angel Gustavo and Angelica Jenni. His family was his greatest joy, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness.

Gustavo is survived by his adoring mother, Bernarda, who was his guiding light and source of strength throughout his life. He also leaves behind his beloved sisters, Erika and Blanca, who shared countless memories and a bond that will endure forever.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Gustavo's life during a viewing and visitation at Pilar Funeral Home in Garland, TX, on Friday, April 18th, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This will be a time to remember the joy and love that Gustavo brought into our lives and to support one another in this time of sorrow.

His final resting place will be Sachse Cemetery in Sachse, Texas.

Gustavo's legacy of love, compassion, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
