Ascencion is survived by his wife Maria, sons Ruben, Carlos, Gerardo, Ignacio, and Enrique, and Guadalupe daughters Celina, Teresa, Raquel, Delfina, Rafaela, and Delia, brothers Jesus, Mauro, Isabel, and Guadalupe, and sisters Elvira and Teresa.
Ascencion's final resting place will be Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in Mesquite, Texas.
