**Obituary for Kiem Van Phan**

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kiem Van Phan, who left us on Saturday, December 21st, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on Saturday, January 26th, 1952, Kiem was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.

Kiem was a man of great integrity and kindness, whose life was a testament to love, dedication, and resilience. He was a devoted husband to his cherished wife, Ngoc-Dung Thi Tran, and a loving father to his sons, Long Vǎn Phan and Chinh-Kinh Trân Phan, and daughters, Kim Phan and Sitiên Phan. His legacy continues through his seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

Kiem is survived by his father, Phan Vân Tǎm, and mother, Lê Thi Sáo, who instilled in him the values that guided his life. He is also survived by his brother, Phan Quang Tho, and his sisters and brothers-in-law: Phan Thi Liên and Truong Xuân Hùng, Phan Thi Huong, Phan Thi Kien and Michael Nguyen, Phan Thi An and Hoàng Thuc, Phan Thi Châu and Trân Tiên Si, and Phan Thi Cúc and Dǎng Huu Duy. Each of them held a special place in his heart.

Kiem's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family and community. He was known for his warm smile, generous spirit, and the wisdom he imparted to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so generously gave to others.
