Marcelo Lopez Solis

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marcelo Lopez Solis, who departed this life on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on Thursday, May 29th, 1969, in Nazas, Durango, Marcelo was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend.

Marcelo resided in Plano, TX, where he built a life filled with love, hard work, and dedication. He worked in the construction industry, a field where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment. Outside of work, Marcelo found peace and joy in walking and being surrounded by nature, often taking long strolls to appreciate the beauty of the world around him.

Marcelo is survived by his loving wife, Maria Luisa, and their cherished children: son Pedro, and daughters Vanessa, Julissa, and Jaqueline. He also leaves behind his devoted mother, Manuela, and his siblings: brothers Marcos and Nestor, and sisters Bertha, Teresa, Guadalupe, and Martha. Marcelo was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the Viewing/Visitation at Pilar Funeral Home in Garland, TX, on Friday, July 4th, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Rosary will be held at the same location on Friday, July 4th, 2025, at 6:00 pm.

The Funeral Service will take place at Pilar Funeral Home in Garland, TX, on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, at 10:00 am, officiated by Alberto Magana. Marcelo will be laid to rest at Plano Mutual Cemetery in Plano, TX.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Pilar Funeral Home, who have provided compassionate care throughout this time.

Marcelo Lopez Solis will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
