It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Eva Cuevas, who departed this life on Sunday, April 6th, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on Tuesday, September 27th, 1938, Maria Eva was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

Maria Eva is survived by her devoted sons, Julio Cesar, Israel, Jose, and Alan, and her cherished daughters, Iris and Nelcis Yalile. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on through her family and the countless memories they shared together.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing and visitation at Pilar Funeral Home in Garland, TX, on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, at 7:00 pm, where we will gather to celebrate Maria Eva's life and bid her a heartfelt farewell.

Maria Eva will be laid to rest at Cementerio General in Aldea Agua Fria, Nacaome, Valle, Honduras, where she will be reunited with her ancestors in her beloved homeland.

Maria Eva Cuevas will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her dedication to her family, and her generous spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our hearts.
