It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Reyes De Lara, who left this world peacefully on January 14, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on June 6, 1943, in Rancho de Albarcones, Nuevo León, Mexico, Maria was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.

Maria is survived by her loving family, including her sons Rogelio and Julian, and her daughters Esther and Felicitas. She also leaves behind her cherished sister Ofelia, her devoted son-in-law Quirino, daughter-in-law Rosa, and a legacy of 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting them.

Maria's life will be celebrated with a viewing and visitation at Pilar Funeral Home in Garland, Texas, on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will also be held at the same location on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 6:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Maria's remarkable life and the love she shared with all who knew her.

Maria will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her generous spirit, and her ability to bring joy to those around her. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Maria Reyes De Lara will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. May she rest in peace.
