With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Elena Gonzalez, who passed away on April 16, 2026, in Garland, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on April 25, 1967, in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Manuel and Maria.

Maria Elena was a woman known for her generous spirit and deep love for her family. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially cooking meals that brought everyone together, singing karaoke, and always extending a helping hand to those in need.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jesus ; her beloved children, Miriam, Claudia, Jesus Jr., and Hector; her brothers, Manuel and Jose Ivan ; and her sisters, Maria Guadalupe, Silvia, Dora Adriana, and Rosa Lidia. She also leaves behind 10 cherished grandchildren.

Maria Elena was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Maria.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the love, laughter, and strength she shared with them.

She will be laid to rest at Garland Memorial Park in Garland, Texas.

May she rest in peace.
