Maria Guadalupe Mejia Trejo

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Maria Guadalupe Mejia Trejo, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on January 2, 2025, just one day before her 60th birthday. Maria was born on January 3, 1965 in Guanajuato, Mexico.

Maria will be lovingly remembered as a warm and generous spirit who found beauty in the simple things in life. Her love for plants was well known, with a garden that flourished under her care, filled with vibrant shades of green complemented by her favorite color, yellow.

Maria is survived by her daughter Fanny; her devoted brothers, Basilio, Ramiro, Ernesto, Jose Luis, and Jose Refugio; her caring sisters, Angela and Leonila; and her two treasured grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

Family, friends, and all those whose lives Maria touched are invited to gather in her honor. A viewing and visitation will be held at Pilar Funeral Home in Garland, TX, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 5:00 pm.

Though we grieve the loss of Maria, we find comfort in the memories we shared and the lasting imprint she has left on our hearts.

Maria’s light will continue to shine through those she loved.

May she rest in peace.
