It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Maria Teresa Segura, who departed this world on Sunday, January 4, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on Friday, June 14, 1957, in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico, Maria Teresa lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to her family and community.

Maria Teresa was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She is survived by her devoted husband, Angel, and her cherished son, Roger. Her memory will also be lovingly carried on by her brothers, Homero and Genaro, and her sisters, San Juana, Rosa Irene, Marisol, Lourdes, and Marisela. She was a proud grandmother to three grandchildren: Roger Jr., Valerie, and Natalie, who brought immense joy to her life. She was preceded in death by her brother, Martin.

Maria Teresa dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a nanny, a role in which she touched many lives with her kindness and nurturing spirit. Her warmth and compassion left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing and visitation, which will be held at Pilar Funeral Home in Garland, Texas, on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Garland, Texas, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Maria Teresa will be laid to rest at Garland Memorial Park in Garland, Texas.

Maria Teresa Segura will be remembered for her unwavering love, her gentle spirit, and her dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
