Maximo Fernandez, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on June 8, 1946, Maximo lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and passions.
Maximo was a skilled welder by trade, known for his hard work and commitment to his craft. Beyond his professional life, he was a man of varied interests. A devout reader of the Bible, Maximo found solace and guidance in its teachings. He cherished the company of family and friends, always welcoming them with open arms and a warm smile. His love for sports and cars was well-known, often sparking lively conversations and shared experiences with those around him.
Maximo is survived by his sons Jessie, Eddy, Joe, Eloy, and Albert, and his daughters Rosemarie and Lilly. He also leaves behind his brother Thomas and sisters Irene, Lucia, Mary, and Hope. His legacy continues through his 33 grandchildren , 34 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren who will carry forward his spirit and values.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Maximo's life during a viewing and visitation on Friday, August 15, starting at 4 p.m. at Gatewood Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16, at 10 a.m., where we will gather to honor and remember the remarkable life he led.
Maximo will be laid to rest at Sachse Cemetery in Sachse, Texas, where he will find his final resting place among the peaceful surroundings he cherished.
Maximo Fernandez will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and warmth he so generously shared throughout his life.
