Pedro Gonzales Soto

Pedro (Pete) Gonzales Soto, 70, of Dallas, Tx, went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2021.

Pete was born June 7th, 1951 to Pedro & Francisca Soto. He had 5 brothers and sisters; Joe, Edward, Delores, Alex, and Charlie.

On November 29th, 1974, he married his beloved wife, Ruth and later had their 2 amazing children, Sarah and Mark Soto. One of Pete’s biggest accomplishments was being a father and he was the best one! He always wanted children and considered himself blessed to have two. His children call their dad a superhero and even as adults, still see him that way. He was there for them through their ups and downs; and he taught them to love everyone no matter who they were or where they came from, they were always greeted with open arms. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned.

Pete and his family loved to go to the state fair every year as a tradition and they always went together.  They would have weekly cookouts at their house, mostly because Pete usually had a new grill or smoker he wanted to show off. Everyone was always invited as long as they had a good heart and rooted for the Dallas Cowboys, they were welcomed. Pete also loved to fish and he adored teaching his (honorary) grandson, Chandler how to properly catch one. Pete loved and cherished every moment they had together. He was the best ToTo to his Chandelero.

Pete worked at Motion industries and retired after 30 wonderful years of being with the company. He made many life long friends there, and was proud to be a part of their company.

Pete was preceded in passing by his parents, Francisca and Pedro Soto, his wife, Ruth Soto, and grandson, Theodore Soto.

Pete is survived by his daughter, Sarah Soto (John Moragas) his departed son, Mark Soto & daughter in law, Yvette Soto, and honorary grandson, Chandler Anderson.

The viewing is scheduled for October 4th, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Central Park Church of God. 1901 E. Centerville Rd. Garland, Tx. 75041

Pete’s funeral will be held on October 5th, 2021 at 10:00 am at Central Park Church of God. 1901 E. Centerville Rd. Garland, Tx. 75041

The family asks all guests to wear their best Dallas Cowboys attire in honor of Pete. The funeral will be a closed casket service and will only be open during the viewing.
