Sergio Avila

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sergio Avila, who departed this world on December 28th, 2024. Born on September 14th, 2002, Sergio graced us with 22 precious years of joy, laughter, and warmth. His vibrant spirit and kind heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Sergio is lovingly survived by his devoted parents, Horacio and Socorro Avila, who cherished him dearly. He also leaves behind his supportive brother, Horacio, as well as his beloved sister, Ana, all who mourn the loss of their cherished family member. Sergio’s paternal grandfather, Jose, also survives him, honoring the legacy of their family through cherished memories.

A beloved son, grandson, and friend, Sergio lived a life filled with compassion and kindness. Sergio’s presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the viewing and visitation held at Pilar Funeral Home in Garland, TX, on Thursday, January 9th, 2025, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at the same location, commencing at 11:00 am. Finally, Sergio will be laid to rest at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, TX, with a graveside service at 2:00 pm.

Sergio will be forever remembered for his love, laughter, and the light he brought into the lives of those around him. As we lay him to rest, may we carry his spirit within us, embodying the kindness he exemplified every day.
